About

Project Scio is a privately held company based in Berlin. We received some very welcome support from the EU, the BMWi, the IBB and the FU Berlin. Project Scio was founded in 2009 by Gerald Hiller, Moritz Krog and Max Scherer.

Team

Gerald Hiller (28) is the physicist in the team. He is responsible for the look&feel of our applications and takes care of keeping our efforts focussed.
Moritz Krog (28) is our tech-whiz. He received his Diplom in Bioinformatics and is responsible for the magic in the background.
Max Scherer (27) takes care of marketing, PR and other forms of communication. He is our people's person and tech-trend radar.

Shelves

Whether you are an experienced professor or a young student, Shelves will streamline your research workflow.

It makes it easier to search for scientific literature, to manage your library and to share all this information with your peers.

Shelves combines literature search and bibliography management in one easy to use online application. It will help you save time and take the chore out of research. And it's free.

Impact

The Next Big Thing, we have some ideas on how scientific publishing should look. Impact is where we work on making them happen.

Our office is located in Berlin Kreuzberg, it isn't huge, but comfortable and we have a great coffee machine. For us it's not just an office, it's a place where our personal and professional interests merge and where we build what we believe is the future generation of science solutions. Oh, and we have the occasional beer and bbq there. It's nice.

Marketing intern or thesis project

At the moment we are looking for assistance with our Marketing efforts. You are about to finish your studies in Marketing or a related field and want to give your final project or internship a special angle. At Project Scio you will actively participate and co-manage the launch of Shelves, our first webapplication. Your decisions will matter! It would be great if you brought experience in online marketing, a great motivation, the ability to quickly learn new concepts and a passion for new ideas.
